THE NATIONAL SOCIETY OF LEADERSHIP AND SUCCESS (NSLS)



The NSLS is the largest and collegiate leadership development program in the United States. Our NSLS chapter at Â鶹ÊÓƵ was started in 2020. Our local chapter is part of the national organization with more than 800 chapters and over two million members.

Students are selected based on exemplary academic achievement and leadership potential. As of 2024, we have 2542 members who have access to:

  • More than $400,000 in annual scholarships and awards
  • An exclusive NSLS online job board
  • A personalized letter of recommendation

The NSLS leadership development program teaches interpersonal skills that employers seek to give you an edge in the job market. as they share how their experience has changed their lives.

AMERICAN MARKETING ASSOCIATION

American Marketing Association

With hundreds of college campus chapters throughout the United States, the American Marketing Association (AMA) brings together more than 12,000 students, and provides them with access to support, career assistance and educational resources to assist them in the classroom and beyond, including:

  • Marketing News. AMA Collegiate Members receive eight print issues annually, and can access all 26 issues and archives online.

  • MarketingPower.com and the AMA Member Resource Center. Providing the kind of marketing information you can access every day.

  • Collegiate Connection. This quarterly newsletter features articles from recent college graduates, industry updates, career development information, and chapter management articles and tips. Available to members online.

  • AMA Career Center. Job postings, resume assistance, helpful articles. You can find this and more in the Career Center.

Collegiate membership is for full-time students only, who are not employed full-time. Annual dues are $39.

DELTA MU DELTA

Delta Mu Delta is a business honor society that recognizes and encourages academic excellence of students at ACBSP accredited colleges and universities to create a community that fosters the well-being of its individual members and the business community through life-time membership. Mu Alpha chapter of Delta Mu Delta was founded in 2011 to recognize the accomplishments of Lewis College of Business students. Membership is by invitation only after verification of scholastic qualifications of the eligible students. Juniors, seniors, and graduate students who are in the top 20% of their class in cumulative average grades receive invitations for the annual induction ceremony.

ACCOUNTING CLUB

Accounting Club Â鶹ÊÓƵThe Accounting Club at Â鶹ÊÓƵ offers students a remarkable opportunity to enrich their academic and professional journey by learning, networking, and engaging. By joining the Accounting Club, students connect with prominent professional organizations, gain insights from industry experts, and acquire practical skills that enable them to pursue fulfilling career paths. Additionally, the Club creates a cooperative environment where students gather to share ideas and experiences, associate and collaborate with each other, and help each other grow.

To achieve these objectives, the Accounting Club organizes various activities such as arranging social gatherings, hosting guest speakers, conducting workshops and training sessions, assisting students in getting their CPA certification, facilitating networking events, visiting accounting firms, attending national conferences, and collaborating with accounting firms to offer mentorship, internships, and job opportunities.

BR. JOEL DAMIAN BUSINESS PITCH COMPETITION

This University-wide competition is open to all currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students at Lewis.  The Business Pitch Competition is where participants have 7 minutes to share their idea to the panel of judges.   The winners from the Business Pitch will be competing for up to $25,000 in cash awards and space in the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Innovation Hub, to help launch their ideas!

The Br. Joel Damian Business Pitch Competition is open to all currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students, in good standing, at Â鶹ÊÓƵ.  Entry to either competition is open to students from all Colleges, all majors and all programs are encouraged to enter. It is our desire that the Br. Damian Business Pitch Competition be an exceptional learning experience for our students.

COLLEGE OF BUSINESS STUDENT ADVISORY BOARD

The College of Business Student Advisory Board is comprised of students representing various majors within the College of Business. The purpose of the Board is to provide student feedback to the Dean on current College of Business issues, aid in the selection process of various awards, and improve student services provided by the College of Business. Each year at least one representative from the Student Advisory Board is selected to sit on the College of Business Executive Advisory Board, which is made up of top executives from the Chicagoland area.

Mission Statement
Entrepreneurship Club The Entrepreneur's Club is dedicated to fostering an entrepreneurial spirit among students by providing a platform for innovation, collaboration, and experiential learning. Our mission is to empower aspiring entrepreneurs through networking opportunities, mentorship, workshops, and hands-on projects that cultivate business acumen and creativity. INVESTMENT CLUB

The Investment Club is an educational workshop that fosters students' interests in financial markets, develops financial literacy among members, and allows its participants to experiment with new ideas in real time. The club provides ambitious students the opportunity to turn financial knowledge into financial hypotheses through the management of a diversified portfolio with assets of more than $350,000. Our vision is to educate members in the fundamentals of fiscal responsibility.

The Project Management Club at Â鶹ÊÓƵ is a student organization that promotes Project Management by empowering the minds of future global leaders. The club aims to support undergraduates and graduates who want to advance their knowledge in project management, program management, and portfolio management in a fun and exciting way. We provide opportunities for individual leadership and group development with multiple activities and real projects driven by industry experts, PMI Chicagoland, and PMI Global locations.

SOCIETY FOR HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT (SHRM) STUDENT CHAPTER

The Â鶹ÊÓƵ SHRM Student Chapter is an official chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). The chapter allows students with an interest in human resource management (HRM) to connect with other students who share this interest, as well as connect with professionals in the HRM field. Chapter members are expected to regularly attend chapter meetings and participate in chapter events and activities. There is also opportunity to take on a leadership role within the chapter.
