How to Join

  1. Apply to Â鶹ÊÓƵ.

  2. Get accepted.

  3. Contact Detachment 195 or Rolling Thunder Battalion to set up an appointment. This is optional, but encouraged. At this appointment, you will meet with one of the cadre members that can answer any of your questions, and give you more information of how ROTC and college lives align. These can be scheduled during University visit days to get more out of your trip.

  4. Sign up for Leadership Laboratory and your respective academic class.  Air Force cadets will sign up for Aerospace Studies class and Army cadets will sign up for Military Science class.  Incoming Fisrt-Year will have an opportunity to meet with an academic counselor during New Student Orientation & Registration (SOAR) at Lewis over the summer where the student can receive help in how to register for ROTC/classes.

  5. Attend the New Student Orientation Program (Air Force)/New Cadet Orientation (Army) at the respective host universities, during move-in weekend. This is a voluntary event, but highly encouraged, where you and your parents can come in to meet the cadre and current cadets, who can answer any questions you have.
