How much is the discount for Northwestern Medicine employees?ÌýÌýÌý

What does deferred tuition mean?Ìý
Deferred tuition means that the tuition bill that an employee owes will be deferred for 6 weeks after the end of each class.
How do I know if I’m eligible?ÌýÌýÌý
The discount applies to all employees at Northwestern Medicine. For information on NM’s tuition reimbursement program, please review the Educational Support policy or information on NMI.
What if I need help choosing the right Lewis University Program?Ìý

Does the 40% discount apply to all Lewis programs?Ìý
The 40% discount applies to graduate and adult degree completion for credit programs offered online or at any Â鶹ÊÓƵ location.ÌýThe discount will not apply to the MS in Speech Language-Pathology, the MS in Occupational Therapy or to any program that is already discounted. Employees should verify their programs eligibility during the Admissions process.
What if I’m already enrolled at Â鶹ÊÓƵ and I’m receiving a lower discount?ÌýÌýÌý
If employees are currently enrolled at Â鶹ÊÓƵ, please complete a new Northwestern Medicine Employee Tuition Discount and Deferred Billing Form and submit it to the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Business Office.ÌýThe 40% tuition discount will go into effect as of the Spring 2023 Term.Ìý The 40% tuition discount is not retroactive.Ìý
How often does the form need to be completed and submitted to Â鶹ÊÓƵ?
The form needs to be completed in its entirety and submitted one time only at the beginning of the first term.
How long does it take for the discount to be applied to my account?
The discount is applied by the Business office following receipt of the completed form.
What happens to the discount if I leave NM during the middle of the term?
If an employee leaves NM during the middle of the term, the discount will be honored for that term, however, the discount will not be applied to future terms. Employees must notify Â鶹ÊÓƵ of any changes to their employer as soon as possible or within five business days. Not complying will result in the account placed on hold and potentially losing any current and future discounts. For any questions, please contact Â鶹ÊÓƵ.
Would this impact or replace the submission process for EdAssist?
No, this does not replace the application submission process for EdAssist. Employees are still required to submit the application via EdAssist to request reimbursement prior to the start of the course and submit all required supporting documentation within 60 days of the course end date. Please review the Education Support policy on NMI for more information.
